Fly Fishing at TasteInnWales with Fly Fishing Wales, Kim Tribe
Duration of the fishing day
In the March to October season a full day is 7 hours 30 minutes to include a 30 minute lunch break. The 7 hours 30 minutes to be taken from the agreed meeting time. During the winter season after the clocks have changed days will be shorter. Winter days will start at around 9am and end at dusk or 5pm, whichever is the sooner. Half-days are 4 hours.
All dates are booked on a first come first served basis. Your date is secured in the diary of our guide/instructor by payment of a deposit (or in full) and in some cases by an, addition by payment of the fishing day permit cost.
Fishing at Peterstone Court is not complementary for customers who are staying at a discounted, reduced or special offer room rate. These customers can fish by paying an additional fee for the fishing day permit and it is subject to availability.
To confirm your booking day you must pay a booking deposit of £75 or full payment if you prefer. Short notice bookings (within a week of the fishing date) will require payment in full at the time of booking. Please note that all payments are to be made in sterling, if paying via transfer from abroad a charge will be levied.
Where only a deposit payment has been made (or a deposit plus the fishing day permit cost) then the balance of the cost must be paid on or before the fishing day. If the balance is paid on the fishing day then it must be paid directly to the fishing guide/instructor.
For Multi day trips
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold the booking, the balance for the package you have booked is payable one month before the start date of the fishing the reservation is made when the Confirmed by email or letter, from Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe. If the booking is made with less than one month before the fishing the full amount will be required to make the booking. If the booking is for more than a single days duration the or from outside of the United Kingdom the full balance is payable one month before the start date.
If your trip has to be cancelled by Kim Tribe, a full refund of monies paid by you will be made, however, no further liability will be accepted by fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe
It is your responsibility to take out travel insurance to cover the cost of sickness and unforeseen eventualities.
With our flexible gift voucher you choose the value – £75 or over – and the recipient can use the gift voucher for that value against any of the fly fishing days that we do in any part of Wales. Our gift vouchers can be for any value and you can choose to pay for a full or half-day of fly fishing or to provide a contribution towards the total cost. And we offer at least a 50% discount for second and subsequent fishers participating in the same private fly fishing day or half-day (up to a maximum of 3 additional people). Included in the cost we would provide you with one gift voucher to give to each gift recipient. All gift vouchers are upgradeable by the gift voucher recipient, eg. from a half-day to a full day or by adding additional people to the day/half-day. We will just quote to the gift voucher recipient the incremental cost of their chosen option.
No VAT is charge on top of the advertised price.
Gift voucher Cancellations and Transfers
Once a deposit has been paid and a gift voucher has been sent out by us we do not accept gift voucher cancellations and we do not refund any monies paid. Our gift vouchers are valid for use for a two year period. The gift recipient must contact us within two years of the issue of the gift voucher to book their fly fishing experience. If they do not contact us within two years then the gift voucher is no longer valid and all monies paid by the gift provider will be forfeited. Our gift vouchers are not transferable without prior arrangement from Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe and are not to be offered for resale.
Failure to attend a course/guided trip Our guide, guides/instructors are self-employed and in many cases fly fishing guiding/ instruction is their full time profession and only source of income. Once you have paid your deposit and your booking is in their diary they can accept no other work opportunities for that date. Thus by cancelling or postponing the date of your fly fishing day you are reducing their opportunity to take paid work on that day. Once you request a specific date you should be committed to that date. If you postpone your date for whatever reason you may lose all or some of your monies paid. If we can reschedule the date with you at no extra cost we will do so.
If circumstances beyond our control require us to cancel or postpone your date, we reserve the right to refund fees paid to us or offer an alternative time of similar value/duration. Please note that we accept no liability for any accommodation, travel or additional expenses in the event that we have to cancel your date with us.
If you fail to attend a course/guided trip. Your instructor/guide will wait for a period of 60 minutes for the guests to show, at the agreed meeting point after this period your booking will be deemed to have been cancelled .and all remaining balances will become payable plus any travel or other expenses incurred by your instructor/guide to attend your booking.
After the 60 minute show period it may be possible to continue with your booking if you have made contact with the guide instructor within that 60 minutes, but the time will be deducted from the session in relation to our hours of work. Additional time may be added at a rate of £25per hour by agreement but it’s not classed as part of the day.
Poor conditions on the fishing day
Bad weather, bad water conditions or lack of fish catches are outside our control. In the event that a day is spoilt by any factor outside the control of fly Fishing wales with Kim Tribe no refund of any monies paid will be made.
Adverse Weather Conditions
In the event that adverse weather conditions make it impossible to fish your chosen location (for example a river affected by heavy rainfall) Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe reserves the right to find an alternative venue including small Stillwater’s or reservoirs. In the event that you do not wish to fish an alternative venue, leading to cancellation of the day, if not already paid as last minute booking the remaining course/guiding balance will be required. Or we will at our discretion credit a future trip.
Dangerous Weather Conditions
If an instructor/guide working on behalf of Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe, decides to cancel your trip due to dangerous conditions including flooding, lightning or high winds the full balance will remain payable. As an example if a full day is booked and it is only possible to fish for half a day, a further half day will be credited for use in the future. Every effort will be made to ensure your time with us goes ahead as planned and whenever possible we will also contact you in advance of your trip if weather conditions are deteriorating. Your safety is of paramount importance and therefore Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe reserves the right to cancel an event if there is a risk to your wellbeing.
Fishing Rod Licence
For beginners fly fishing lessons and fly fishing gift vouchers for beginners fly fishing lessons, a rod licence is included in our quoted price. For guided/coaching days or multi days, It is the clients’ responsibility to obtain a rod licence for each individual fisherman and days fished covering different species of game fish. Local fishing permits are included in the price and will be provided by Kim Tribe. Advice can be sought from Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe beforehand but the responsibility is the client/fisherman. These are available for migratory and non-migratory fish. These can be bought for a day, week or year, and must be obtained in advance either from any Post Office or from the EA website at www.environment-agency.gov.uk/subjects/fish.
These can be however obtained at the time of arrival at the agreed meeting point if there is no mobile signal there is a delay in the allotted time to obtain one and start fishing it is deemed the clients responsibility to have pre- arranged one beforehand and is at the client’s expense.
Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe will not be liable for any cost and/or loss you incur which is as a result of your actions or the actions of a third party unconnected with fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe which Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe could not reasonably foresee or forestall, any unusual or unforeseeable event beyond reasonable control of Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe.
It is a fundamental booking condition that you accept the hazards involved in river fishing, lake, and sea fishing and in engaging in it is a potentially dangerous activity. To take part in one of our activities, you should be covered by adequate insurance for the duration of the tour and for the activities undertaken. The insurance must cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical and emergency expenses (including repatriation), personal accident, injury and death. In addition you should be insured against loss of or damage to baggage, personal possessions and flight cancellations and delays. As Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe is not liable for any loss, accident, injury or damage to you or any personal effects.
Disclosure of Information
It is your responsibility to ensure any instructor/guide working on behalf of Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe is made aware of the following: Medical conditions – especially on-going or serious. Temporary disability, permanent disability or injury which may cause limitations during the day. All allergies including side effects related to medication, insect bites or consumption of food. Please also ensure that your instructor/Guide is made aware of procedures relating to any condition you may have in the event of an emergency. We also require at least one emergency contact number…
We accept no liability for disruption to our service caused by travel restrictions, industrial action, fuel shortages, accident or illness.
Your contract is with the Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe and individual guide/instructor who is a contractor and covered by their own public liability insurance. Up to a maximum of £5,000,000.
Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe or its contractor do not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness unless this arises from a negligent act or omission by them or their contractors during the course of their contracted activities.
By confirming your booking you acknowledge that Fly Fishing Wales with Kim Tribe has taken all reasonable steps to safeguard its liability in this respect.
In the unlikely event that a dispute arises all proceedings will be settled in an English court, governed by English law. Terms & Conditions Updated.
