I would like to thank everyone in the hotel who helped me prepare for and celebrate Phil’s life on Friday afternoon. The reception staff, those in the kitchen who prepared the afternoon tea and those delicious cakes and Charlotte and her team all made sure there was plenty of refreshments and helped create an informal atmosphere for us to chat and talk about memories of Phil.

We cannot thank The Manor Hotel enough for turning our disastrous trip around!
After a terrible experience with another provider, The Manor came to the rescue and provided us with an exceptional stay. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, festive atmosphere, beautifully decorated with Christmas trees in the hallway, which instantly made us feel welcome.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making sure all our needs were met. A special thanks to the assistant manager, Suzanne, who went above and beyond to assist us. Not only did she arrange a room for us at short notice, but she also booked a taxi to and from the wedding we were attending – her effort made a huge difference.
After a long drive, we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant before heading to our room. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the staff ensured we were well looked after. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a well-presented en-suite. It was warm and comfortable, exactly what we needed after a stressful start to our trip.
The breakfast the next morning was just as impressive, providing a perfect end to our stay. Thanks to the wonderful team at The Manor, what began as a disastrous trip became a truly memorable and pleasant experience. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

“It Is a beautiful place. It is old but very well maintained. We felt very comfortable there. The view from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly. Really nice sauna with cold shower - excellent after hiking. We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back:)

Excellent afternoon tea
Excellent afternoon tea booked for a family reunion. Beautiful hotel, plenty of parking, stunning views across the valley. Helpful and pleasant staff. We were well looked after and had the dining room to ourselves after the popular Sunday carvery. Despite it being towards the end of normal afternoon service we were assured that we could stay as long as we liked to catch up with family. We felt very much at home. Thoroughly recommend

“Great character ”
I have stayed at the Manor many times and I am never disappointed. The hotel has great Character and fantastic views of the valley. The Restaurant. Bar and lounge areas are very comfortable and the Staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable and the Hotel is always spotlessly clean.

Delightful lunch
Lovely hidden gem, had food here and it was delightful, fish and chips were light and fluffy and the carrot soup was amazing and with their lunch deal on you can’t go wrong ! Definitely recommend coming back here again for food , lovely, calm atmosphere.
